As much as I love my natural hair, there are a few things I totally hate.
Night time routines is one of them.
Last night, I spent over two hours just twisting my hair into the style that you see above.
OVER. TWO. HOURS.
Do you know what I could've been doing in those two hours? I could've been working on one of my freelance projects. I could've been finishing up an assignment for my actual job that I was supposed to finish up a day ago but shhhhh... Shoot. Two hours is a full sitting of WWE Smackdown Live (which BTW, the Nikki/Natalya fight from this past week's episode was pretty good if I do say so myself).
So why does it take so long to twist my hair at night?
1.) Arms start hurting.
You would think my arms would be slim with the workout it takes just to do my hair. The pain makes me take constant breaks.
2.) Baby girl decides she wants to help with my hair.
She then proceeds to hit me with my comb and run off with it. I proceed with twisting after I have retrieved my comb.
3.) Smackdown Live is getting too good.
I completely stop twisting my hair during matches and only get a few twists in during Hulu's commercial breaks.
4.) Fiance brings me a plate of food because he loves me!
Or he thinks that the only way to keep me happy is by feeding me, but whatever. I munch on the food in between twists.
5.) Where is my phone? KIM, GIVE ME BACK MY PHONE!!
Another chase ensues.
Now that I read this, it's amazing that my hair didn't take longer.
